Yes he has, if you believe what you read in the Times and the Telegraph this morning.

We in the UK find the whole election for possible Presidents somewhat complicated.

You do have the sensible idea of fixed terms which prevents leaders ‘go to the country’ at an advantageous time for them. It also has the dis-advantage of ‘lame-duck’ administrations.

Is there any simple way to describe to us how the caucases work?

It is unbelievably complicated. I still don’t understand how Hillary won the primary in Texas but lost the caucases on the basis of the number of delegates (which is different from the number of votes cast and my head is already about to explode)….

This is fantastic news. Hillary will be the electoral equivalent of Neil Kinnock, she will ensure that Senator McCain will win by a small margin.

To be honest, I haven’t made up my mind who I want to win the US elections. All the candidates have serious personal and/or policy flaws, which makes me very nervous.

I liked Obama until he started playing to the bonkers-economics crowd, I can’t bear the idea of Hillary because she is *not* Bill. I liked Bill and his welfare reforms, Hillary is an old-fashioned authoritarian leftie.

McCain I don’t know much about but am sure he would be better than Hillary.
