Precisely. How Darling, or Gordon Brown for that matter, have the nerve to start telling us they care about the poorest in society and that they are doing ‘everything they can to help’ is baffling.

Darling should sell of some of the Queens’ art collection. She has 10 billion quid of art. Sell some of it to pay for the 10 p tax cut.

Given the debates on MP’s expenses and the “fact” that MPs could earn SO much more in the private sector, perhaps Darling is simply refering to MPs when he says talks about people on lower incomes?
