Letters From A Tory

Doomsday prediction

October 18, 2007 · 4 Comments

Dear readers,

Does anyone know what odds are being offered on England failing to qualify for Euro 2008 plus England losing the Rugby World Cup Final plus Lewis Hamilton failing to win the Formula One World Championship?

With some concern,

A.Tory

I’m not sure a Tory raving on about sport and culture is necessarily going to enthuse the party. What about all the Righties that David Cameron has abandoned? Why not chase after their votes?

(sorry for being cheeky, couldn’t resist :P)

That’s alright, no need to apologise!

I think the Righties might have underestimated Cameron quite a lot, as I suspect the talk of tax cuts (which has already started) and immigration (which is starting now) will begin convincing people that this guy is deadly serious about being a Conservative Prime Minister.

On the subject of underestimating people remember Ian Duncan-Smith? “Never underestimate a quiet man”. Nobody did underestimate him we all knew what a loser he was just like Drugy Dave Cameron. Dig up Harold Macmillan I say!

Mr Duncan-Smith was never going to get anywhere, although he’s certainly doing a good job in the shadow cabinet. Cameron has already made more progress than he did, so we’ll have to see how it all plays out in 2009.
