Dear Tony Benn,
What are you doing? Seriously, what the hell are you doing? Are you just bored and feeling a bit left out of politics these days? I know that you used to be a major player on political circuits but surely you realise that it’s time to give up. As a Conservative I have no problem with you standing as an MP because your presence will do nothing other than undermine any pretentions of the Labour Party that they are modernising and are ready to face the future challenges for this country. Maybe it’s something about the name ‘Tony’ that is messing with your mind - Blair couldn’t let go, he always thought he knew best, he didn’t listen to other people, so perhaps you are suffering from the same unfortunate affliction?
Yours in complete and utter disbelief,
A.Tory

Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson could not stay out of boxing. John Burridge could not stay out of football Now, Benn can not stay out of politcs. The reason is they all loved what they did too much. I think we shouldn’t underestimate him though. Straight talking politicians seem to win public favour these days.

What great news. Tony Benn was without a doubt the best Prime Minister WE never had. Despite the man’s age he has a brain that is sadly lacking in modern British politics. Mr Benn also has principals unlike the Nu Labour scum who lead this country today and a return to politics would be a sure sign that at long last something in this country is stirring against the unfolding tyranny of the Bliar/Brown leadership. Long Live Freedom!

Well, he certainly has more ‘traditional’ Labour views than the new kids on the block, so it would interesting to see if the party wants to let him stand to be an MP.
